SHELDON
Sheldon are an alt. rock band from Chester, Cheshire. Their sound revolves around melodic riffs over an upbeat rhythm section. Sheldon are currently focusing on recording an album that is due to be released mid/end 2008.

   Sheldon were formed in 1999. Seven years saw the band unsuccessfully try to break into the Liverpool gig 'scene', some hit and miss touring around the country, a regrettable involvement with a dodgy label and a succession of bass players come and go.
In 2006, after witnessing the far greater interest shown in live music in the area, Andy relocated to Chester with a renewed hope to make a name for the band.
Playing acoustic slots at Open Mic. night each Tuesday over the course of a few months gained more interest in the songs than years of hard slog in the so-called 'Capital Of Culture'. Here, Andy met Monkey Dave. Following the unfortunate departure of then bassist Gary Ellis, Dave agreed to join Sheldon.
It's 2008 and Sheldon are: Andy Hignett, Richard Dodd and Monkey Dave.

Pluscore Records is an independent rock label, based in North West England and run by Andy Hignett. They are a small, forward thinking record label with a bright future. Their main efforts are focused towards Sheldon, who will be releasing an album in 2008.
Pluscore Records A&R are not currently seeking to take on any additional artists/bands, and therefore are not able to accept and review demos. However, should you wish to "network", please feel free to add Pluscore and Sheldon to your MySpace.

Alexander's Jazz Theatre is the North West of England's premier live music venue for jazz, blues and rock artists, and it's Sheldon's favourite venue. Alexander's is all about ambience and the joy of being close to the performance. Andy and Dave can be seen most Tuesdays at Alexander's Open Mic. night - there is also a Band Showcase Night twice a month (Mondays) - see you there.
