Lady Rain
Lady Rain are an indie rock band from Birmingham. Parallels have been drawn with the raw sound of the Pixies and Graham Coxon, the ambience of the Stone Roses and The Cure, and the current tones of The Killers, We Are Scientists and Bloc Party. Not that matching comparisons are made too often the band themselves cite Stevie Wonder, Neil Young and The Small Faces amongst their individual influences.

Lady Rain are an unbreakable group of driven friends and an indie rock band with a decidedly British edge; serving but not ruled by the musical mainstream. Resisting the penchant of their peers for emulating the mellow chart-toppers of the past few years, Lady Rain have evolved a songcraft which prefers to hit you squarely between the eyes before seducing you with an infectious hook.
Songs that stir the soul, caress with melody and spit venom in equal measure. Tunes that leave you exhausted but longing for more.
Live performances that recapture the exhilaration of the moment the song was written; an interactive outpouring of creations always destined to be shared.

The Bar Academy Birmingham is situated right next door to the Carling Academy Birmingham. The Bar Academy is one of our favourite bars in Birmingham and is the perfect stage for seeing live bands.
